Cubbies
Cubbies is just for preschoolers! Children join Cubbies two years before they enter kindergarten. Cubbies learn through play, puppet shows, crafts, coloring, songs, snacks, and stories. The program is hands-on and offers a bit of something for everybody. A portion of the Cubbies meeting is spent in free play, giving children the chance to make new friends. Although the Cubbies program does go until 7:30 we understand that is too late for some. Parents are welcome to pick up their Cubbies at 7:00. We do ask that all parents pick up their Cubbies before the older children to help with overcrowding!
The Cubbies books are a bit different than the books for the older children. The lesson from the night comes from the book so every child should be working on the same verse in the same book each night. If your child misses a night he/she should work to make up the missed week but should focus on the new verse for the next week. Ask your child's leader if you have any questions.
Cubbies earn vests and awards. See your child's leader for the cost.
Older siblings (other than those old enough to drive) are not allowed to pick up Cubbies. An adult must sign them out of their room. Please let the Cubbie's leader know if anybody besides the parent will be picking up your child!
